Caroline meets her boyfriend, Isaac, in an abandoned church by the highway to prepare for her Divine Birthday. To make the ritual more enticing, Isaac suggests trying to convert his ex, Wasp, as a second offering at the Altar. 

Meanwhile, Janey is struggling to refill her birth control prescription—a meager substitute for estrogen. Rachel, her friend and closeted lesbian, works at the town pharmacy, but, thanks to the Church’s influence, supplies have been deprioritized.
